Enrollment increases at area schools
The 2018-2019 school season is fully in session and area schools have had an increase in enrollment.
The Alton R-IV School District’s enrollment is 697 students K-12. Last day of August 2017, it was 646 students. Elementary enrollment is 376 students, compared to last year 343 and high school enrollment is 321 students, compared to 303 last year.
The school was excited to announce the enrollment for Couch R-I School District is up since the previous year. According to Dr. Sherri McMasters, the 2017-2018 school year enrollment was 206 and the start of the 2018-2019 school year had an enrollment of 225, which is up 19 students from last year.
Koshkonong student body has increased by ten with last year’s enrollment being 256 and this year 266.
At Mammoth Spring School enrollment is up from the previous year with 457 enrolled in K-12 grade, compared to 436 last year. They are serving 53 students in Pre-K, which is up 12 students and an extra classroom from the previous year. Total enrollment is 510.
The total enrollment is 732 students with 403 in Pre-sixth grade and 329 in 7-12 grades.
