Treasures in the Ozarks prepares for event
The second annual Treasures in the Ozarks, slated for Sept. 22-23 at the Hardy Civic Center, is quickly approaching and show director Tracie Moore said vendor spaces are filling up quickly.
“The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m that Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 -.m. that Sunday,” Moore said. “We have definitely grown. Last year we had one vendor outside, this year we’re set to have three. We’ve added extra spaces inside and I may have a few free but we’ve added more than five extra booth spaces. So far we have over 50 vendors.”
Wood crafts, basket weaving, bath and body products, fabric artists, glass blowing, gourd painters, ornamental metal and personalized sign makers, are just a few of the vendors which have been secured for the event.
Moore said the event is free of charge to the public, and designated parking will be made available.
“We’re not going to have any parking in the parking lot this year so that we can hold more vendors, but we will have parking marked so people know where they can go,” Moore said.
She said increased advertising has been a contributing factor to the growth the event has seen and she anticipates a higher participation rate from patrons this year as well.
