James to celebrate 100th birthday

A 100th Birthday Celebration will be held for Clarence W. James of Thayer, Mo., on Feb. 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. at North Arkansas Electric Cooperative, 225 S. Main St. in Salem. Clarence was born Feb. 17, 1919, the fourth child of Frank and Flora James of Randolph County, Ark. Clarence has lived and farmed near Thayer, Mo. most of his life. Clarence is a WWll veteran and a member of the Church of Christ. He married Johanna Schulz on April 11, 1942 and together they had nine children, 30 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren and 32 great-great grandchildren. Clarence has made many friends over the years, and the family invites those who would like to come by and say hello to visit during this celebration.
