Nominations are being accepted for the SeniorAge Board of Directors

The incumbent, Dale Johnson, will be running for reelection. Candidates from Oregon County are welcomed to submit a declaration of intent to serve as a board member for the SeniorAge Area Agency on Aging.

Board Members serve three-year terms; responsibilities of the board members include budgeting all federal dollars, as well as reviewing and adopting all policies relating to aging programs. Each of the 17 counties served by SeniorAge Area Agency on Aging is represented on this volunteer Board of Directors.

Any resident of Oregon County may file a Declaration of Intent. Candidates must be willing to devote time to learning about the agency, have a sincere interest in programs for the aging, attend monthly meetings in Springfield and attend periodic training sessions. Although expenses are reimbursed, this is a volunteer position.
