James Michael Hobbs
James Michael Hobbs, 41, of Hardy, Ark., departed this life April 30, at his home. He was born Dec. 12, 1977 in San Antonio, Texas.
James was united in marriage to Myranda Lynn Evans on Sept. 8, 2007 in Hardy. He grew up in the Ravenden Springs, Ark. area, graduating from Oak Ridge Central in 1996. James was a police officer in various cities for a total of 11 years. He enjoyed road trips and adventures in the great outdoors with his wife, special projects on their vehicles, and spending time with their beloved Boston Terrier companion. He was always willing to help a friend in need and his ability to make people laugh with his witty sense of humor will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife Myranda, of Hardy; mother and stepfather Donna and Greg Golden, of Pine Bluff, Ark.; father and stepmother Jerry and Sharon Hobbs, of Jefferson City, Mo.; paternal grandmother Hasseltine Hobbs, of Mammoth Spring; brothers Joe Hobbs (Monica), of St. Louis, Mo. and Dusty Golden, of Pine Bluff, Ark.; sister Kim Hobbs, of Jefferson City, Mo.; mother-in-law Nancy Evans, sister-in-law Monica Evans, nephew Aaron Evans, all of Hardy; numerous family members and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his best friend and brother Jarrod Hobbs, grandparents and father-in-law Kurt Evans.
Visitation was Sunday, May 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Wortham Funeral Home in Hardy. Funeral services were Monday, May 6 at Wortham Funeral Home at 12 p.m. with interment immediately following at Taylor Cemetery in Wirth. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wortham Funeral Home to help family cover funeral expenses.
