Pictured from left to right: Lisa Culver, 10 year Master Gardener Certificate; Don and Etta Lee DuMond, 5-year Master Gardener Certificates, and Glenda Vickery, 1-year Master Gardener Certificate. From the Sharp County Master Gardeners, thank each of you for your time and involvement in our community. Glenda was a part of the first class in Sharp County to complete their Master Gardener Training completely online. The online Master Gardener class will be offered again this year and the deadline for applying is Dec. 2.

The Sharp County Master Gardeners will be having a Work and Learn Day at the Hardy Cemetery on Oct. 9 at 10 a.m.

They will be demonstrating how to prune certain shrubs and bushes, including overgrown Crepe Myrtles.

It is open to the public, so bring your work clothes, pruners, shovels and any questions you may have!

In case of bad weather, a rain date has been set for Oct. 14 at 10 a.m.
