“Wait Until Dark” performed at Downtown Playhouse
The suspenseful drama “Wait Until Dark” has opened at the Downtown Playhouse in Pocahontas. The popular play runs through November 30.
The plot involves a blind, Greenwich Village housewife named Susy Hendrix, whose family unwittingly comes to be in possession of a doll with a hidden treasure. Susy becomes the target of three criminals searching for the doll.
The con-men assume they will soon claim their treasure, but they underestimate Susy’s abilities.
“Wait Until Dark” is sponsored by Integrity First Bank and Farmers & Merchants Bank, and the production is directed by Kelly Grooms. The last scheduled performances are Nov. 29 and 30.
Tickets are $19.60, including tax, and the cost of admission also covers beverage and dessert. There is a wide array of hot and cold beverages, and desserts include Vanilla Caramel Creme Pie, Reese’s Creme Pie, Pumpkin Roll Cake and Sugar-Free Jello Pudding Parfait.
