The recent record of the Cave City Cavemen was 11-13 overall and 7-7 in conference. The Cavemen were 4-5 at home, 4-2 away and 3-6 at neutral sites. Cave City has scored 1162 points and opponents have scored 1070 points. The Cavemen have a two-game winning streak.

Cave City is next scheduled for an away conference game against Palestine-Wheatley on Tuesday, Feb. 11.

On Feb. 3, the Cavemen lost a road conference game at Harding Academy (Searcy) by 23 points (66-43). Each team scored 17 points in the first quarter. Harding Academy outscored Cave City by three points (13-10) in the second quarter to take a 30-27 lead at halftime. Harding Academy scored 17 points in the third quarter and held Cave City to 8 points in the third quarter. Harding Academy led 47-35 at the end of the third quarter. Harding outscored Cave City 19-8 in the fourth quarter.

On Feb. 4, the Cavemen were on the road again for a conference game and defeated Cedar Ridge by 13 points (45-32). Cave City had a four-point lead at the end of the first quarter (16-12). Cedar Ridge scored 10 points in the second quarter and held Cave City to 6 points, and the game was tied at 22 at halftime. The Cavemen scored 14 points in the third quarter and held Cedar Ridge to 6 points, and Cave City led at the end of three quarters 36-28. Cave City scored 9 points in the fourth quarter, and Cedar Ridge only managed 4 points.

At home on Feb. 7, Cave City defeated Harrisburg by 45 points (66-21) in a conference matchup.


The Cave City Girls Basketball team recently had a 15-8 record overall and was 10-4 in conference. Cave City was 5-3 at home, 6-2 away and 4-3 at neutral sites. Cave City had scored 1072 points, and opponents had scored 862. The team is on a four-game winning streak.

On Feb. 4, in an away conference game, Cave City defeated Cedar Ridge by 20 points (50-30). On Feb. 7, Cave City won a home conference game against Harrisburg by 34 points (54-20. Cave City held a 10-point lead as the team outscored Harrisburg 14-4. Cave City pulled away in the second quarter as it scored 21 points and held Harrisburg to 2 points and led 36 to 6 at halftime. Cave City outscored Harrisburg 19 to 14 in the second half.
