Find a Grave

Virtual Workshop Zoom and Facebook simulcast

Learn how to search Find a Grave for burial information, tombstone photos, and potential leads of other information regarding that ancestor you are hunting. It provides many tools for the researcher and can be helpful in tracing your roots. This presentation will provide the basics for first-time users or for those familiar with the program but in need of an update since the changeover to ownership by Ancestry. Also discussed will be how to contribute to Find a Grave, how to properly use the program and cite information found.

Fraternal Organizations

In 1927, over half of the U.S. population were members of fraternal organizations. Fraternal organization records can provide details found nowhere else. Patti Hobbs, Certified Genealogist, will discuss their purposes, the kinds of information contained, and how to locate them.
