National FFA Week celebrated by Highland High School Chapter
This year we are so grateful for the opportunities and events that we were able to carry out. The coronavirus has limited but not ceased our involvement in our school and community. This school week, February 22-26, we celebrate National FFA Week by characterizing each day through specific apparel to display our FFA pride!
This week has been organized as follows: Muck boot/mullet Monday, Tractor Tuesday, Wrangler Wednesday, Throwback Thursday and FFA Friday. Monday we suggest that everybody show off their fancy mullets and muck boots. Tuesday we all need to wear the colors of our favorite tractor brand. Wednesday, wear as much wrangler as possible. Thursday, let’s dress up to our favorite decade. Friday wear your FFA jackets, shirts, hats, etc… We plan to share alumni and current members’ memories with the school along with showing teachers our appreciation throughout the week.
I would also like to point out that we have 51 members in our chapter! Most of which are studying very hard for the upcoming Career Development Event (CDE) competitions and to become the future leaders of the Highland FFA chapter. We have a fellow FFA member, Dalaney Harris, that is going to be representing us in the upcoming District Leadership Development Events (LDE’S).
