Betty Jo Wurst, of Salem, Ark., daughter of the late William Thomas and Lucille Eleanor Hardin Dailey, was born on March 21, 1938, in Cass, Ark.

She died on Dec. 23, 2005, at Springfield, Mo., at the age of 67 years.

She was united in marriage to John F. Sparks in Detroit, Mich., and later married Rodney Wurst on Sept. 19, 1972 at West Plains, Mo.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include five sons, Michael Dailey and John Sparks of Searcy, Bill Sparks of Ash Grove, Mo., Kenny Sparks of Wynne and Robert Wurst of West Plains; three daughters, Teresa Norman of Salem, Kimberly Sizemore of Pararie Grove, and Jacquline Stienert of Springfield, Mo.; one brother, Charles Dailey of Cherokee Village; 19 grandchildren, Michael Norman Jr., John Sparks Jr., Melissa Dixon, Crystal Thomlison, B.J. Sparks, Sarah Quesnell, Darren Norman, Brandon Sparks, Jennifer Lipiec, Brittany Sparks, Veronica Harlin, Jerad Sizemore, Blake Wurst, Sonya Sizemore, Stephanie Sparks, Monica Brown, Tisha Sizemore, Aaron Brown and Keely Grooms; nine great-grandchildren, Haley Dixon, Halie Norman, Madenzie Dixon, Kelsey Norman, Dakota Tomlinson, Laynie Norman, McCaden Norman, Dawson Lipiec, and Ollie Norman; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Wurst; five sisters, three brothers and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held Dec 28 at the Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, Ark., with Bro. John Hodges officiating.

Burial followed in the Salem Cemetery in Salem, Ark., with arrangments under the direction of the Barker Funeral Home of Salem.

Pallbearers included Michael Norman Jr., Darren Norman, Jimmy Boverhof, B.J. Sparks, Brandon Sparks and Jason Dixon.

Honorary pallbearers were Aaron Brown and Jerad Sizemore.
