Kermit Clyde Comstock, 78, of Gepp, Ark., was born on Aug. 26, 1938, in Elizabeth, Ark., son of Kermit Winston and Mable Angeline (Davis) Comstock. He departed this life on Sept. 4, 2016 at Hospice of the Ozarks, Mountain Home, Ark.

Clyde married Vica Irene Mackey at Henderson, Ark. on Sept. 28, 1956 and to this union 3 children were born. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He did construction work most of his life. He loved sitting on the back porch, hunting, fishing and playing music, but most of all he loved riding the back roads. He is survived by his wife, Vica Irene Comstock of Gepp, Ark.; two sons, Kermit Billy Comstock (Tracy) of Viola, Ark. and Amel Dale Comstock (April) of Gepp, Ark.; daughter, Patricia Irene Fisher (Robby McCarty) of Viola, Ark.; sister, Olene Davis of Salem, Ark.; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother (Willard Comstock) and sister (Joan Crotts).

Graveside services were held on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016, 10 a.m., at Elizabeth Cemetery, in Elizabeth, Ark. Visitation was held Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, 6 to 8 p.m. at Barker Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Billy Comstock, Orville Crotts, Dale Comstock, Charlie Crotts, Casey Comstock and T.J. Hickman. Honorary pallbearers were Steve Williams, Robby McCarty, and Bill Hammond. Memorials may be made to the Elizabeth Cemetery Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Ark., 72576.
