“The Little Mermaid” to be presented
In a fund raising event for the North Arkansas Dance Theatre, a non-profit performing troupe, the NADT Dance Academy will be presenting “The Little Mermaid.” The performance will be Friday, May 27 at 6:30 p.m. at Ozarka College. Admission is $5. All proceeds will go to the non profit North Arkansas Dance Theatre.

Seaman Second Class Brady O. Prewitt, was killed during the surprise air attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. His ship, the BB- 37 U.S.S. Oklahoma, was struck by the Japanese and subsequently sank.

Attorney General Rutledge announces $19 million settlement with Ford Motor Company
Says, ‘As gas prices soar and inflation continues to rise, today’s settlement ensures that Arkansas consumers can trust car manufacturers, like Ford, when they purchase a vehicle’ Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge today announced a $19.2 million multistate settlement with Ford Motor Company regarding claims that Ford falsely advertised the real-world fuel economy of 2013– 2014 C-Max hybrids and the payload capacity of 2011–2014 Super Duty pickup trucks. Arkansas will receive $245,765.75 from the settlement.
Melbourne High School to provide summer enrichment
Melbourne High School recently received a $32,000 grant from the ARP ESSER III Summer Learning Program. This project will provide Summer Enrichment to eligible Bearkatz in grades 7-12 through two different programs.
Greyhound Class of 2024 Dunking Booth
The Salem Greyhound Class of 2024 is sponsoring a dunking booth during the Fulton County Homecoming Festival on Saturday, May 28 on the square in Salem, Ark. The proceeds will benefit the Greyhound Class of 2024 Senior Lock-in. You can throw three balls for $5 or seven balls for $10.

Mammoth Spring FBLA to host yard sale fundraiser
Mammoth Spring FBLA is hosting a yard Sale fundraiser to raise money to attend the National Leadership Conference in Chicago, Ill. this summer. Melissa French placed 2nd in Accounting I at the State Leadership Conference in April and will be competing in this event at the National Conference in June.
