Ozarka and Emerson officials recently announced the placement of three Ozarka Precision Machining students at Sharp County’s largest employer, Emerson. Scheduled to complete their training program this month, Matthew Jaggars, of Cherokee Village; Randolph Martin, of Ravenden; and Mary Wanley, of Cherokee Village have all already accepted offers of employment to begin working at Emerson.

Ozark Folk Center State Park’s Cowboy Music & Arts Festival is Friday, May 20, and Saturday, May 21, in scenic Mountain View. Ravenden Springs town clean up will be held on Saturday, May 21. Dumpsters will be on site from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. for citizens that live within the town limits or receive water services from the town of Ravenden Springs. The location of the dumpsters will be at the field by the Smokey Belcher Park parking area. A loader and excavator will be on site to assist with unloading.
The Summer of 2022 will bring a great concert lineup of weekend musicians to Hardy at the gazebo in Dr. Thompson’s Park. Country, jazz, blues and all kinds of skip-stepping music will be streaming the streets of Hardy on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and holiday weekend Sundays from 1 to 3 p.m. The music starts off on Memorial Day weekend to give the summer a rhythmic kickstart.
