Cherokee Village Senior Life Center to hold free health screening event

The Cherokee Village Senior Life Center is eager to host a free health screening event to area residents on May 20 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Jenny Tosh, APRN, Family Medicine Provider at the Midway Medical Clinic, and her nursing staff will be providing free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings. Along with the free screenings, Jenny give a presentation on diabetes.

Sharp County Library Board to hold meeting

The Sharp County Library Board will hold a community meeting on Wednesday, May 18 at 1 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Sharp County Library in Hardy. Library board members will speak with attendees and answer questions regarding changes to library policies and services. Board members are interested in listening to the comments of the general public and regular library patrons about the Sharp County libraries and their role in the community.
