Flags

Flags have been placed on the Salem square for people to pick up as they go to decorate their family cemetery plots for Memorial Day. The flags are compliments of the Salem VFW Post 9777 Auxiliary. This is the third year for the free flags. The auxiliary began placing the flags because of the COVID-19 pandemic because of people not able to get out to shop for them. Flags will be available until May 30.

Fulton County Hospital Trauma Injury Prevention Team recently donated students at Mammoth Spring School their own life jacket to take home. Those who presented students with their life jackets on Monday, May 16 were Erika Sneed - Director of Nursing, Trauma Program Manager; Sarah Cochran - ER Supervisor, Trauma Coordinator; Rachel Delargy - ER RN and Rachel Griggs - Central Supply Supervisor.

Doris Polston, 87, of Strawberry, Ark., died May 12 at her home. Arrangements are under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home in Cave City, Ark.
