Arrest warrant issued for Fulton County man charged with aggravated assault on a woman

An arrest warrant has been issued for Fulton County man, Deonte Scott, 31, for allegedly attacking a woman on the river. On May 27, Fulton County Deputies Blair Ables and Phil Story were dispatched to 9 Mile Ridge Road in response to a 911 call of a witness who heard a woman’s cry while unloading his groceries.

Viola Masons to host benefit luncheon at new lodge

The new Viola Masonic Lodge will be holding their annual barbecue luncheon benefit once again on Saturday, June 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. After a three year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Masons are back raising funds toward scholarships for local students in the Viola School District who are interested in pursuing a secondary education after high school. The menu includes a barbecue sandwich, baked beans, cole slaw and tea. Tickets are $10 each at the door. The new Viola Masonic Lodge is located at 239 Hwy. 223 S. in Viola across from Fun Days restaurant. Camp Invention’s fun, action-packed summer STEM Program coming to ASU Mountain Home

Program Locations Will Provide a Healthy, Safe and Fun Environment Camp Invention®, a nationally recognized, nonprofit summer enrichment program, is coming to ASU Mountain Home the week of June 20 - June 23. Camp Invention challenges children in grades K-6 through hands-on activities, promotes STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) learning; builds confidence, leadership, perseverance and resourcefulness; and encourages entrepreneurship — all in a fun and engaging environment.
