Conservation Farm Planning available through NRCS

The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is dedicated to “helping people help the land” providing farmers and landowners with resources and cost share in conservation as well as opportunities to help landowners be more efficient and productive with their land and natural resources. NRCS provides cost share and technical assistance to all landowners and operators with special funds for beginning, limited resource, socially disadvantaged and historically underserved farmers. Why is this important? It is very important for all people to have opportunities to better their land. Whether these people have a small operation or a large operation they represent and ultimately are a huge part of the future of farming, agriculture, and conserving natural resources.

Local centenarian happily celebrates lifetime milestone with family and friends

I recently had the honor of attending an amazing birthday party for a truly incredible woman, Elizabeth Eleanor Mullin Waser. You see, Ms. Waser, or Betty as she prefers to be called, was about to celebrate her 100th year of a lifetime filled with love, family and happiness.
