Moose Lodge hosts pot roast dinner

The women of Mountain Home Moose Lodge will hold a pot roast dinner fundraiser on Friday, June 10 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The menu includes scrumptious pot roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, veggie, roll, dessert and a beverage. Mountain Home Moose Lodge is located at 4754 Hwy. 5 South, 2.5 miles south of the by-pass in Mountain Home. The event is open to members and non-members who sign in as guests. Be the Sunshine Pageant to be held in Hardy

On Saturday, June 11, at the Hardy Civic Center the Second Annual “Be the Sunshine” Pageant will be put on and directed by the Miss Arkansas Diamond National USA Jr. Teen, Elayna Russell. With her platform, Be the Sunshine, she has a goal to promote the spread of love, kindness, and the gospel in everything she does and everywhere she goes! She also wants to let young girls, like herself, know that beauty is not only found in their looks, but inside their hearts. A truly beautiful girl is kind, caring, and loving. These girls are the sunshine in the lives of the people around them!

Cave City Nursing Home residents “go fishing”

The Sharp County Conservation District Board (SCCD) is very active in the community, often holding workshops and trainings for landowners on grazing and forest practices. Each year, they assist the schools, training the youth in forest, soils and surveying. The SCCD board is no stranger to promoting education and helping landowners learn more about being good stewards fo the land.
