Eugene Winnie (Jeanie) Berg

Winnie Berg, 80, passed away peacefully in her home May 18, 2022, surrounded by her husband and members of her loving family, after a brief but brave battle with cancer. Born Winifred Gertrude Schenck Feb. 3, 1942, in Norfolk, Va., Winnie was raised in Laguna, Calif. and spent most of her adult life in Southern California. However, in 2009, Winnie and Richard moved to Cherokee Village, Ark. and made it their permanent home. Winnie quickly established herself as an active member of several aid and fellowship groups, as well as the First Landmark Baptist Church in Highland. Winnie touched many lives and devoted much of her time to helping others. She was loved not only by her family, but a large community of caring and supportive friends.

Brandy DeLoach Corter joins the Ozarka College Foundation Board

The Ozarka College Foundation has selected Brandy DeLoach Corter of Izard County to serve on the foundation board of directors. Board members serve a five-year term and work collectively to support the mission of Ozarka College to provide life-changing experiences through education. The Ozarka College Foundation Board encourages participation and volunteerism in a variety of ways and foundation members serve in a public relations capacity to represent Ozarka College in their individual communities.
