Lingenfelter Farm

Located a few miles outside of Mammoth Spring is this year’s Fulton County Farm Family, the Lingenfelter’s farm 4L. Run by Justin and Lacey Lingenfelter with help from their two children Daniel, 18, and Gracey Kay, 13, the more than 100-acre farm location has been in Lacey’s family for generations.

VFW Post 7831 to host appreciation lunch

VFW Post 7831 and VFW Post 7831 Auxiliary will host an appreciation lunch on Saturday, June 24 at the Veterans Memorial Park located on Main Street in Mammoth Spring. Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and beverages will be served for free for those who stop by from 12 noon to 2 p.m. This is being held to thank all who have supported the organization. Everyone is welcome.

Man who kidnapped and assaulted woman apprehended

A multi-agency manhunt spanned just over 24 hours in the Spring River area June 19 as authorities sought 33-year-old Joshua Hoover following a hostage situation. According to Hardy Police Chief Scott Rose, on June 19, Hoover approached a female victim at River Bend Park near Hardy at gunpoint and after sexually assaulting the victim, forced her into her own vehicle, with the two leaving the park together.
