A Reunion Four Gal Golf Tournament was held at the Cherokee Village’s beautiful South Golf Course on Wednesday, June 22. The event was hosted by Cherokee Village Suburban Improvement District (CVSID)

“These bollworm numbers have exploded it seems in the past two or three weeks,” said John David Farabough, Desha County extension agent for the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture. “I have traps spread from north to south borders in Desha County and all are running high numbers for this time of year.”

Judith Ruth (Sturm) Floyd (Gramma Judy), 85, was born July 15, 1936, to Ernest H. Sturm and Marjorie Jean (Anderson) Sturm in Bellwood, Ill. She got called up to be an angel in the outfield at Wrigley Field on July 8, 2022, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark. Judith was united in marriage to Scoval Floyd on Oct. 17, 1977, in Salem, Ark.
Mark E. Young, 64, of Hootentown, Mo. graduated to a larger shade tree in the sky on June 24 2022. Mark was born on April 13, 1958 in Independence, Mo. to Adrian M. Young Sr and Dorothy O. (Dewberry) Young.
