Country blues and easy rock sounds will continue to guide Hardy visitors along Main Street

The streets of Hardy will be welcoming the sounds of Bobbi Saxton on Saturday, August 20 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saxton will be performing from the gazebo at Dr. Thompson’s Park, solo with her guitar. Come enjoy her easy country blues and charm as you stroll Main Street shops and take in the easy Hardy pace on a Saturday. Have a seat in the shade at the Park and a chat with a friend or just relax to the sounds of Saxton’s soothing melodies. One thing is certain, during these summer days, the streets of Hardy have proven to be a popular place for people to come browse the shops, museums and enjoy the camaraderie of family and friends, especially to the accompaniment of some easy-going rhythms and tunes along the way.

Capitol Week in Review

The legislature concluded a quick, threeday special session after approving income tax cuts that will save 1.6 million Arkansas taxpayers about $500 million. The tax savings will come mainly from moving up the effective date of previously adopted tax reductions.

After passing legislation to accelerate tax cuts and provide funding for school safety, the 93rd General Assembly adjourned from a special session on Thursday. In December of 2021, the General Assembly passed legislation outlining the largest tax cut in state history.
