The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) will conduct several public meetings across the state to seek input on an update to the federally required Statewide Public Transit Coordination Plan. Public transit coordination provides an opportunity to identify mobility needs in Arkansas and develop a consensus on how to meet those needs. The updated Transit Coordination Plan will allow ARDOT and its transit partners to further strengthen their resource management capabilities.

The fourth Spring River’s Got Talent show is back and will be held on Sept. 17 , at the Hardy Civic Center where local musical performers will compete for a total of $2,000 in prize money. Doors will open at 1pmand performances will begin at 2pm. The Hardy Civic Center is located at 301 East Main.

Grassroots Equipment and Outdoors is partnering with Townsend Spice and Supply to present The Cleverlys at Ozarka College on Sept. 10.

The Arkansas Department of Agriculture and Farm Credit Associations of Arkansas are partnering to provide a $1,000 Homegrown by Heroes scholarship to military veterans and active military personnel to attend the Center for Arkansas Farm and Food’s Farm School, a comprehensive training program for new or beginning specialty crop producers. Funding for the scholarship is generously provided by Farm Credit. Applications are due Sept. 1 and are available at: agriculture. arkansas.gov/arkansas-department- of-agriculture-programs/.
