Changes and tweaks continue to be made for the newspapers of Cherryroad Media (formerly Rust). This past week, a new news tip inbox was set up for the three individual newspapers of The News, Villager Journal and South Missourian News.
The Hardy History Association (HHA) met Thursday, July 7 at the Hardy Gym at 6:30 p.m. Board member Pene Hadley opened the meeting with the treasurer’s report. As of July 1, the previous HHA account balance was $19,712.42, with an additional $430.14 in deposits from donations, gift shop revenue and raffle tickets. The Ash Flat City Council met Monday, July 18 at city hall at 6:30 p.m. Mayor Larry Fowler brought the meeting to order with all councilmen present. After the minutes from the June meeting were approved, along with the current meeting’s agenda, Mayor Fowler opened the floor for department reports.
