School has begun and it’s important to be alert to vehicle traffic in the vicinity of all the schools in the Highland School District; especially at the opening of the school day and again at time of dismissal. Remember the rules about the loading and unloading of students on school buses. Do not pass a stopped school bus when students are boarding or exiting the bus.

Since the 1990's, prescription pills have been over prescribed leading users to become addicted to opiates. People would go to pill mills to obtain large quantities of prescription opiates. After the government started cracking down on these pill mills, addicts turned to the streets to self-medicate. The danger now is Fentanyl is being pressed to look like a real prescription pill.

Survey of hospitals shows the impact of COVID-19 on the financial health of hospitals in 2021 Courtesy Arkansas Hospital Association LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas – A recent financial survey conducted by the Arkansas Hospital Association shows that the COVID-19 pandemic continues to create profound financial volatility for the state’s hospitals. On average, hospitals responding to the survey saw a total margin decrease of 3.5 percentage points between the first quarter of 2019, prior to the pandemic, and the first quarter of 2022, leaving a full 52% of respondents now in the red.
