Hardy City Council met on Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 6 p.m. at city hall. Mayor Ernie Rose called the meeting to order. After the minutes from the August meeting were approved, as was the current agenda, proceedings continued with a report from the advertising and promotions commission (A&P).
The Sharp County Quorum Court met on Monday, Sept. 12 at the Sharp County Courthouse at 6 p.m. County Judge Gene Moore called the meeting to order with all the JPs present. After the court’s approval of the minutes from the August meeting, Moore moved on to the treasurer’s report.

In the midst of chaos, anyone can play an integral role in mitigating the impacts of an active shooter incident.
The annual Wilson Masonic Lodge Flea Market and Inside Yard Sale will be Saturdayp Sept. 24, 2022, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hardy Civic Center, 301 W. Main Street, Hardy. Over 50 vendors, artists and craftsman will participate. In addition to flea market items, the event will feature music and concessions including hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks.
