Cave City High School will be holding a blood drive on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the CNA classroom of the school located at 711 N. Main St. in Cave City. The blood drive is sponsored by the Lions Club of Cherokee Village.

The Sharp County Quorum Court met on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at the Sharp County Courthouse at 6 p.m. The meeting was scheduled one day later than usual due to the Columbus Day holiday. County Judge Gene Moore called the meeting to order. After the minutes from the September meeting were approved by the court, proceedings continued to the treasurer’s report.

The Highland Rebel tennis season came to a close last week, but not until after a trip to the state tournament. The Rebels had six players qualify for play in the tournament that was held in Clarksville.
