Breast cancer is the most common cancer and the second leading cause of death among women in the U.S. The American Cancer Society estimates that, in 2022, there will be over 300,000 new cases diagnosed and more than 43,000 deaths.
Unless breast cancer runs in the family, many women, men too, are complacent about the topic and may skip regular self-examinations and annual mammograms. This was not the case with Tina Gilbreath of Hardy, Ark., a vibrant relatively healthy 45-year-old woman.

MELBOURNE, AR — The Ozarka College Friends of the Paul Weaver Library recently partnered with Melbourne’s Manna House Thrift Store to host their annual book sale. Held on Ozarka’s Melbourne campus, the event offered a variety of good quality used books, including arts & crafts, gardening, children’s books, as well as a large selection of paperback fiction. Proceeds from the Book Sale will go towards funding the Ozarka College Friends of the Library scholarship available for Ozarka students.
MOUNTAIN VIEW, AR – The Ozarka College Foundation recently hosted The Fall Concert, at Ozarka College's Amphitheatre in Mountain View on Oct. 8. The concert featured talented musicians: Brad Apple, Crystal McCool, Mary Parker, Gary Rounds, Pam Setser, and Keith Symanowitz, with special guests Turner Atwell and Lillyanne McCool.
