Oxford man charged with solicitation of capital murder

IZARD COUNTY— The Izard County Sheriff’s Office announced on its Facebook page a unique arrest of an Oxford man for solicitation of Capital Murder. According to the Izard County Sheriff’s Office, Ronald Hill, 28, has been charged with the offense after alleged messages were found saying, “he would pay $3,000 to kill a woman,” that were allegedly sent to Hill’s brother Jonathan, via social media.

Moose Lodge to host fish &shrimpdinner,Germanfest

Mountain Home Moose Lodge #1953 will hold its monthly all-u-can-eat fried fish and shrimp dinner on Friday, Oct. 7 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Guests may order fried fish, fried shrimp or a combination plate which also includes hushpuppies, French fries, coleslaw, vegetable, roll, dessert and a beverage.
