We welcome fall and the cooler temperatures plus the pleasant days to enjoy. This time of the year is one of the more relaxing periods for us to enjoy the change in nature in Cherokee Village. The only drawback is the accumulation of leaves which must be removed from our yards in some fashion.

Help Protect Seniors from Scams

In recent weeks there have been more news stories in Arkansas about novel methods scammers are using to take advantage of unsuspecting individuals and steal their money. It’s important to be educated about this issue and stay up to date on the ways thieves are operating so we can safeguard against these crimes and prevent seniors – the population that is most often the target of these scams – from becoming a victim.

Free health fair services for Sharp and surrounding counties coming soon!

The Sharp County Hometown Health Coalition is holding a FREE health fair for residents of Sharp and other surrounding counties on Friday, Oct. 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will be held at the A.L. Hutson Center on Rebel Dr. in Highland. There will be services and information available for everyone from babies to senior citizens. Health screenings will be offered, as well as mammograms, flu and COVID vaccinations.
