Cherokee Home Inspection gets blue ribbon treatment

Cherokee Home Inspection LLC recently received a Blue Ribbon Welcome for becoming a member of the Spring River Area Chamber of Commerce at its recent Business Expo on Oct. 8. Owner James Tubbs is an Arkansas Licensed Home Inspector, as well as an InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector, who believes in giving clients the best service possible and vows to inspect every home as if it were his own.

There is one thing I thought I was going to be able to avoid in moving to Arkansas and being part of a community newspaper, two actually. Something that consistently reared its ugly head time and time again back in my former stomping grounds was a phrase that I understood but cringe at because it is annoying for those of us in the newsrooms. A phrase I wasn’t expecting to hear again being in a smaller community that was starved for local news but I shouldn’t have been surprised to hear once again.

November 8 is a big day for our kids and our community! During the general election, the Highland School District has a tremendous opportunity to significantly upgrade our facilities with a positive vote from our community. We are very proud of the improvements we have been able to make to our other buildings over the last few years, and now we are looking toward the future.

Reuniting Loved Ones

U.S. Army Private John Cooper bravely served in uniform, defending our freedom as a crew member of an M4 Sherman tank fighting German forces. While engaged with the enemy on March 7, 1945, his tanker was hit. He was not seen again and declared missing in action. Thanks to the relentless efforts of the personnel at the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), Private Cooper’s family and so many other families missing loved ones have hope they will one day be reunited.
