I hear from Arkansans every day about issues impacting their lives. During meetings around the state and in the nation’s capital, as well as through phone calls, emails and letters to my offices, the people of Arkansas voice their opinions and questions about federal policy to my staff and me regularly. This engagement is necessary to best represent The Natural State and advance the priorities we share. Recent outreach we’ve received represents just some of the issues on your minds.

07-11-1941 ~ 10-06-2022 Jessie Verlene Underwood was born in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas the daughter of Verdis and Doris Hall on July 11, 1941 and departed this life on October 6, 2022 in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 81 years. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Underwood on April 19, 1960 in Salem, Arkansas.
Since 1993, Barker Funeral Home in Salem, located at 857 US 62, has been one of two funeral homes in Salem offering funerals, cremations and monuments with a partnership with a company out of West Plains, MO and prearrangement insurance. Steve and Kim Barker, the owners and operators of Barker Funeral Home have rebuilt their facility after a still undetermined fire, totaled the previous building.
