Veterans Day Ceremony 2022

The American Legion Post # 344 of Horseshoe Bend will have a Veterans Day Ceremony. It will be held at Veterans Park in Horseshoe Bend on Nov. 11. The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. The ICC choir directed by Chelsea Phillips will attend. Bring your lawn chair.

Free GED classes offered at Ozarka College

MELBOURNE, AR – Free GED classes are currently available at the following locations: Ozarka College Melbourne. Tuesday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Ozarka College Mammoth Spring. Tuesday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Ozarka College Ash Flat. Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Ozarka College Mountain View. Wednesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Ozarka College Mountain View. The Weight Room Welcome

Good weather and great fun in Cherokee on Halloween night

Cherokee Village Town Square enjoyed wonderful weather on Halloween evening. Families showed up for trick-or-treating dressed in all types of costumes. The Cherokee Village Animal Control staff brought dogs and kittens that were up for adoption for people to meet and greet, many of which were wearing costumes of their own. The Cherokee Village Fire and Police Departments were there to hand out candy to trickor- treaters, young and old. A great time was shared by all.
