Arkansas lawmakers have begun pre-filing bills in advance of the 2023 legislative session, which begins on January 9. At the beginning of the week of the Thanksgiving holiday, two bills had been pre-filed by senators and 10 bills had been pre-filed by members of the House of Representatives.

The Cherokee Village (CV) Suburban Improvement District (SID) held its regular meeting on Monday, Nov. 21 at 4 p.m. at the North Golf Course. The meeting was brought to order by Chairman Ron Page. Other commissioners present were Susan Jett, David Nebel and Joe Kaiser. General Manager Betsy Waugh was also present. Attorney Phillip Elmore joined the meeting via Zoom. The current agenda was approved unanimously, as were the minutes from the Oct. 17 regular meeting and the Oct. 31 special meeting.
