Pediatrician to move from Baxter Health Med-Peds Clinic to Baxter Health Family Clinic

Dr. Shayna Wood, pediatrician for Baxter Health, will be changing clinic locations from the Baxter Health Med-Peds Clinic located at #10 Medical Plaza in Mountain Home to the Baxter Health Family Clinic located in Mountain Home, joining Dr. Kam Lie, Dr. Mary Depper, and Phillippa Aronold, APRN in practice.

ICC announces teacher certifications

Izard County Consolidated School District announced that two teachers have joined the ranks of eight currently employed educators at the school who have achieved the prestigious title of National Board Certified Teacher. Becoming a National Board Certified Teacher is a rigorous process that can take between one and three years where teachers demonstrate excellence in teaching through the submission of three written portfolios and an exam.

Lady Rebels take Lendel Thomas Classic

The Highland Lady Rebels went undefeated in the Lendel Thomas Classic and finished as tournament champions recently, winning 60-49 over the Manila Lions. Harlee Deloach was named to the All-Tournament team, and Sadie Meyer was named as the tournament MVP. Scoring details from final game: - Hyslip 27 - Burton 11 - Deloach 10 - Trivitt 6 - Meyer, Parish, and Taylor 2.
