Draft plan is open for public review and comment Jan. 9-Feb. 7 The Missouri Department of Natural Resources is developing an updated drought mitigation and response plan that will help guide future statewide, multi-entity drought response efforts. The plan is designed to aid government officials, water users and water suppliers in planning and responding to droughts in Missouri.

These elements of community are interconnected one with the other as together, as community, we come together to make the place we call home a better place to live and work for ourselves but, more importantly, for our children and future generations who follow in our steps.
Registration is open for Time Out for Tech, the annual visit day that provides high school seniors with a preview of learning and living at Arkansas Tech University. Time Out for Tech 2023 is scheduled for Thursday, Feb.

Greetings all! I just wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year! The Hardy History Association is excited for the possibilities for the upcoming year and I wanted to give you an update of activities. We had an awesome meeting in December about the 40th anniversary of the Spring River flood in Hardy with great participation.
The 94th General Assembly will convene at noon on Monday, Jan. 9.
Dear Constituents, this will be my final column as your state Senator. Politics has long been a passion of mine, so it was a dream come true when I was first elected to the legislature eight years ago.
Well, that’s over with. We are a week out from the mad dash that is the holiday season and now a new year is upon us.
The Sharp County Quorum Court met on Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 8 a.m. immediately following state, county and municipal officials taking the oath of office. Sharp County Judge Mark Counts presided over the meeting.
