In order to learn and appreciate more about this beautiful state of Arkansas that we live in, the Spring River Gem & Mineral Club (SRGMC) in Cherokee Village will present an “Only in Arkansas” series, among other presentations throughout 2023. We will discover more of Arkansas through archeology, photography and mineralogy.
The Hardy History Association's (HHA) first quarterly meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 2 at 5:30 p.m. in the Hardy Gym located at 203 School Street. The community is invited to attend the HHA's first in-person meeting of 2023.

She departed this life Feb. 13, 2023 in Cherokee Village, Ark. at the age of 72 years, 2 months and 19 days. Beverly spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend. Beverly was a licensed cosmetologist. She was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Dolph.

04-18-1932 – 02-15-2003 Wylma Jean (Jenkins) Heiskell of Alton, Mo. was born on April 18,1932 to Wallace Nelson and Leona Davis Jenkins in Licking, Mo. She was united in marriageto James Wade Heiskell on Sept. 6, 1951 in Mammoth Springs, Ark. She departed this life on Feb. 15, 2023, while a resident at Good Samaritan in Mountain Home, Ar., at the age of 90.
