The annual Arkansas Roots Music Festival is making a move this year. The event will be held on Saturday, April 1, at the Johnny Cash boyhood home, an Arkansas State University Heritage Site at Dyess. Live music begins at noon, ending at 5 p.m.

The Highland Rebels got a big win over Hillcrest on March 10. They finished the game in 5 innings with a final score of 12-2. The Rebels were hot at the plate tallying a big triple from Hunter Yates and doubles from Zac Huckabee and Keagan Statler, plus 9 singles from 5 other Rebels. On the mound, Cash Arnhart struck out 5 in 4 innings. Noah Powell came in to close the game and struck out two of the final three batters. Their record moves to 4-0.

Cherokee Village will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Baseheart Fire Station on Sunday, April 9 starting at 2 p.m. A rain date is scheduled for Saturday, April 16.
