Arkansas Roots Music Festival moves to Johnny Cash boyhood home
The annual Arkansas Roots Music Festival is making a move this year. The event will be held on Saturday, April 1, at the Johnny Cash boyhood home, an Arkansas State University Heritage Site at Dyess. Live music begins at noon, ending at 5 p.m.

Highland Rebels baseball start 3-0
The first batter of the game scored for Cedar Ridge, but that would be the only run they would get on the day. With a final score of 16-1, the Highland Rebels run-ruled the Timberwolves in the 4th inning on March 8, with 8 of the 9 batters in the lineup crossing home plate at least once.
Highland baseball Rebels get another win
The Highland Rebels got a big win over Hillcrest on March 10. They finished the game in 5 innings with a final score of 12-2. The Rebels were hot at the plate tallying a big triple from Hunter Yates and doubles from Zac Huckabee and Keagan Statler, plus 9 singles from 5 other Rebels. On the mound, Cash Arnhart struck out 5 in 4 innings. Noah Powell came in to close the game and struck out two of the final three batters. Their record moves to 4-0.

Cherokee Village Fire Department to hold annual Easter Egg Hunt
Cherokee Village will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Baseheart Fire Station on Sunday, April 9 starting at 2 p.m. A rain date is scheduled for Saturday, April 16. All kinds of prizes to be had! Pictures with the Firefighter Bunny will be taken after the hunt. Come enjoy an afternoon of Easter fun!
