Mountain Home Moose Lodge #1953 will again host its annual charity bowl-a-thon to benefit the Peitz Cancer Support House. The fun, family event will be held on Saturday, May 6 at Driftwood Lanes beginning at noon. Cost to enter is $20 per person with all invited, including children.

She lasted six innings, allowing two hits and two runs while striking out nine and walking one. Salem Lady Greyhounds totaled 20 hits on the day. Growing up in northern Cleburne County in the small town of Prim to be exact, where the family ranch is still operational with two chicken houses and 50-head of commercial angus cattle, Smith tends the ranch when he can while also being in the courtroom.
Local students through the local VFW Post 9777 in Salem recently were awarded scholarships based on 2022-2023 essays surrounding the Voice of Democracy and Patriot Pen competition. According to the VFW, the Voice of Democracy essay was established in 1947 and is an audio-essay program that provides a chance to express themselves around democratic and patrioticthemed recordings.
