The 2023 Arkansas Pie Festival
The 2023 Arkansas Pie Festival was held in Cherokee Village on April 29. The pie festival was a qualifier for the World Food Championships with the winner going on to represent Arkansas.

Caveman sports 2023 Track Conference Championships
The Cave City Track and Field Teams competed in the 3A-2 Conference Championships held in Pocahontas on Tuesday April 25. At the end of the meet Cave City had 4 individuals who qualified for the state championships in six different events.
Melbourne Farm to Table Market opens May 4
MELBOURNE, AR—Melbourne Farm to Table Market is a market for local farmers, ranchers and homesteaders to offer an outlet to bring their goods directly to community members. Market offers a space for everyone to meet and get to know their local farmers and learn more about how their food is grown.

Old Main supper, concert night on May 6
It was a big hit last year, so the Friends of Old Main will host a concert and supper on Saturday, May 6 at the Civic Center Building at the Fulton County Fair Grounds. The cost of admission will be $10 per person.
Fulton County Hospital to observe Hospital Week
The Fulton County Hospital will have meal days planned in observance of National Hospital Week. Each day we will have door prizes and free meal for staff.
State Capitol Week in Review
LITTLE ROCK – The scheduled finish of the 2023 regular session of the legislature is May 1, when lawmakers adjourn sine die. Adjournment means that the legislature will not convene again until next year’s fiscal session, which will convene on the second Wednesday in April of 2024.
