Photo mats for sale at Fulton County Fair office
The Fulton County Fair office has photo mats at wholesale cost for photo and art exhibitors. There is a variety of colors in the 11 x 14 mat for 8 x 10. Cost is $2 per mat. Persons who need photo mats should come by the fair office at the fairgrounds Monday – Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

ICC athletics holds first annual football, cheer camp
The Izard County Athletic Department held its first annual Youth Football and Cheer Camp on June 9 at Cougar Stadium and the Cougar Den. ICC coaches had a great turnout for the camp with over 60 participants. Thanks to ICC coaches and volunteers for helping make the camp successful.

Area Fourth of July activities and events
Summer is here and so are annual Fourth of July events occurring in the area over the weekend leading up to the Tuesday holiday. July 1-2 Saturday and Sunday evenings, July 1-2 at 7 to 9 p.m., Hardy, Ark.

Baxter Health’s Tammy Penka nominated as One of the Great 100 Nurses of Arkansas
Baxter Health announced on June 21, that Tammy Penka, MSN, RN, Director of Quality, has been named one of the Great 100 Nurses of Arkansas. This recognition honors exceptional nurses who have made a significant impact on the lives of their patients and their communities.

Pet costume contest winners announced
Stop the Cycle Spay and Neuter group held a Pet Costume Contest during Salem's 74th Homecoming Festival. The crowd cheered for participants to determine the winners.

Ozarka Kids College a success
Ozarka College recently held Kids College this summer for students who will be entering grades two through seven this fall. Classes were June 5 – 8 at Ozarka's Melbourne campus. Ozarka Kids College's theme this year was 'Step into our future,' and included a fun-filled learning adventure, futuristic style. The students enjoyed daily STEM projects, learning about Arkansas reptiles, art projects, yoga, and cooking classes. Students took home several projects such as, a kite, art canvases, man-made snow, a planter, college ID badge, and a t-shirt.
