Criminal affidavits for arrest in Fulton County, confirmed the arrests of two individuals with former ties to the Tri-County Medical Supplies business in Salem.The affidavits say Charles Artis Owens, 55, and his son Cody Lee Owens, 29, have been charged with fraudulent use of a credit card and theft of property between $1,000 and $5,000.According to the affidavit, the owner of Tri-County Medical Supplies, Max Caldwell, told law enforcement in July 2024 that between December 2023 and July 2024, Charles Owens allegedly obtained three unauthorized credit cards to where it is alleged Charles Owens purchased a vehicle in January 2024 and used one of the credit cards towards a partial payment for it.Caldwell is said to have fired Charles Owens at the time of learning of the credit card purchases.The affidavit went on to say that Charles Owens paid for the rest of the vehicle through a loan from the Bank of Salem.
