CV Animal Control named one of the 2025 Shelters of the Year by Best Friends Society

It has been a busy month and more at Cherokee Village Animal Control and the staff and volunteers have been recognized for their hard work recently as the shelter was recently named one of the 2025 Shelters of the Year by Best Friends Society, the Northwest Arkansas region.According to CV Animal Control volunteer Peggy Wenzel, Best Friends is an organization out of Utah with a local program out of Bentonville whose main goal is to work with shelters to stop euthanization.“We found Best Friends when searching for grants,” Wenzel said.
