The Salem VFW Auxiliary to Post 9777 sponsored and judged the Patriotic Art Contest “What Red White and Blue means to me?” during the Fulton County Fair, giving ribbons and cash rewards for first, second, and third place in three categories: Adult, Jr. Youth, and Youth 12 years of age and under.
The Board of Education of the Salem School District #30, State of Arkansas, met in regular session Monday, July 21, 2025, at 6 p.m. in the Boardroom on the high school campus. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Yarnell.
The Salem School District will begin the 2025-2026 school year on Wednesday, August 13. Classes will begin at 7:55 a.m. and will be dismissed at 3:05 p.m. Buses will run their regular routes, and breakfast and lunch will be served in the cafeteria.
Salem VFW Auxiliary Post 9777 surprised local businesses with an appreciation certificate for showing their patriotism. All of these businesses have American flags displayed outside or inside of their businesses. Thank you to API Castings, Not Your Mama’s Kitchen, CEL-STAR Inc. and Ozark Closing And Title Company. Also presented with a certificate were Salem Library, Salem School District, The Martin House and Southfork River Therapy and Living Center.
