Cherokee Village SID: Lake irrigation topic of discussion
An issue that’s been raised over the past several Cherokee Village Suburban Improvement District meetings have been property owners using the lakes as a way to irrigate their property. The discussion was raised again during the July 21 SID meeting when the agenda item on sending an irrigation letter out was discussed.

Adoptable of the Week, Pilot
First, Pilot is not a Rottweiler! He is a smallish-medium 38-pound, 2-3 years old, neutered male. But yes, he has those handsome markings. Pilot is in full time foster and is fully housetrained, crate trained and a great house dog. He lives with two resident dogs and loves to play with them. Within three days of joining his foster family, he pretty much had full run of the house with the supervision any new dog would need for learning what are dog toys and what aren’t. Pilot walks easily on a leash with his “pack.” He loves car rides too.
Judge Weaver set to retire in 2026
After 24 years on the bench in the 16th Judicial District, Division 4, the Honorable Judge Tim Weaver will hear his last case wearing the robe on Dec. 31, 2026. The 16th Judicial District, Division 4 covers Fulton, Izard, Cleburne, Independence and Stone Counties.

McCullough pleads not guilty
In Fulton County Circuit Court on Monday, July 21, William Flint McCullough, 45, made his first appearance with defense attorney Gray Dellinger where he pleaded not guilty and waived formal arraignment in the case against him for alleged child sex crimes.
