A straight-set win didn’t come easy for the Salem Lady Greyhounds against Cave City Tuesday, Sept. 9 as the Cavewomen kept the game close throughout.
Hardy City Council met Monday, Aug. 11 at 6 p.m. at the Hardy Civic Center. Mayor Ethan Barnes called the meeting to order with a full council present, along with Recorder/Treasurer Willow Sharp. Minutes from the June 9 and July 14 council meetings were approved unanimously, as were the minutes from the July 16 budget meeting and the July 25 special meeting.
BATESVILLE– Arkansas Tourism’s recently released 2024 Economic Impact Report shows that tourism continues to thrive in the state and in the Ozark Gateway Region, reinforcing its role as a vital economic driver for local communities.
The latest meeting involving the Cherokee Village Economic Exploration Committee had its members and community members in attendance, continuing to crunch the numbers on ways to address revenue concerns for the city of Cherokee Village.
The Sharp County Master Gardeners awarded two scholarships to local graduating seniors in 2025. On Tuesday, Aug. 12, a special introduction and presentation were given to seniors Tacie Humphries of Highland High School and Caleb Cates of Cave City High School at the Ash Flat Library.
The Ash Flat City Council met Monday Aug. 11 at 6 p.m. at city hall. Mayor Larry Fowler called the meeting to order with five of six council members present.
Hulk Hogan continues to wait for his forever home and will greet you with his tail wagging. Hulk is a bit of a jumper…he just can’t contain that excitement, and would need continued training in that area. This brown and white hound mix is neutered and up to date on rabies shot. He is a happy guy and would fit in a variety of home environments, but a fenced area is a definite bonus for his exercise needs.
