The Greyhound Class of 2027 has planned several activities this school year. The group is lead by parents and/or guardians of students in the Class of 2027. The goal is to raise money for the Class of 2027 Senior Lock-in. We truly appreciate the help from the community and surrounding communities.
The Salem City Council met for the regular monthly meeting on Aug. 28. There being a quorum represented; Mayor Daniel Busch called the meeting to order at 6 p.m.
Present: Mayor Jackie Estes, Councilmen Mike Sherman, Dennis Harber, Melinda Wray, Jerry Allen, and Joe Garner. Water Superintendent Joel Huett, Bookkeeper Sarah Huett, Recorder Tracey Sherman, employee Tony Shockey, and three citizens were present.
On Friday, Oct. 3, Areawide News received a letter signed by Cherokee Village Mayor Steven Rose indicating the Cherokee Village Suburban Improvement District board of commissioners had been suspended and Dave Gruger was appointed special administrator.
