Wanda Brown, a cherished educator, beloved mother, and community pillar, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2024, at the age of 99. Born on January 28, 1925, to the late George Lewis and Leona (Majors) Sublett. Wanda dedicated her life to nurturing and empowering those around her, first as a devoted teacher and ultimately as a businesswoman alongside her late husband, Buen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Buen Brown.
Wanda is survived by two children, Buena House and husband Donald, Vinton Brown and wife Jennifer; three grandsons, Kyle House, Travis and Parker Brown; great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Kylee House; special friends, Mary Jane McDowell for 73 years as well as Steve and Mark Rottler.
Visitation will be held C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Friday, December 27, 2024, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at noon. Reverend Shannon Davis will be officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre.
