The Viola Longhorns and Lady Longhorns competed at Cherokee Village South on Aug. 18 bringing home 3rd place as a team for the Lady Longhorns and 3rd place for the Longhorns merely missing 2nd place by two strokes. Braden Williams (pictured) was top golfer for Viola and placed third overall. There was a limited number of slots for this competition so the top four girls and top four boys from Viola from the last competition were chosen to compete for Viola. Lady Longhorns AJ McCandlis, Sayde Waltrip, Haylee Crotts and Kailey Hallmark brought home the team score of 165 securing that 2nd place finish. Longhorns Williams, Gavin Blevins, Rowan James and Kody Hart secured the 3rd place team score of 132. All golfers from Viola will be competing against next week at Turkey Mountain. Photo/Submitted
